Personal experience

  • His father William is a company lawyer and his mother Mary is a school teacher.
  • At the age of 17, Gates sold his first computer programming work - a time table system. The buyer was his high school. The price was 4200 dollars.
  • Gates scored 1590 out of 1600 in the standardized SAT test.

  • On June 7, 2007, 30 years after leaving Harvard, he received an honorary bachelor of law degree from Harvard University and was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor of Law.
